Questions

    • Who is this class good for? The class is geared toward home stagers, redesigners, STR and Air BnB designers, edesigners and interior designers. We have people at all stages of their business taking the class from brand new stagers to people who have been in business for many years.

    • When is it? The class is Monday, July 29, 2024

    • Where is it? We'll be meeting in the Lobby of Building A, Las Vegas World Market, 475 S Grand Central Pkwy, Las Vegas, NV 89106, 8:30AM sharp. Please make sure you have your registration badge before the class starts.

    • How many people will be in the class? We limit class size to 15 so we can give you each individualized attention. Typical class size is 10-15 people.

    • How Much Does It Cost? $425 for one 6-8 hour day of learning and shopping with the Wholesale Shopping Ninja Michelle Minch. You get to spend the whole day with me and pick my brain!

    • What will I learn? You will learn why to buy wholesale, where to buy wholesale, when to buy wholesale, who the sales rep for your area is and how to buy wholesale. You'll learn how to read the price tags and what all the crazy codes mean, plus much more. We'll introduce you to our vendors, some of whom are not general knowledge.

    • What types of items can I buy?  You will learn how to buy furniture (case goods and upholstered), lamps, artwork, rugs and accessories.

    • Can I purchase on the class day? In order to keep things running smoothly and so we can cover as much ground as possible, no one will be able to order during class. We have a tight schedule. We will arm you with the contact info for the sales rep for your area. You will be able to return the next day to place your order.

    • What should I wear? Dress is business casual. Comfortable walking shoes are a must as you will be on your feet all day. Check the weather before you leave home. It will probably be on the cool side. It may even rain. We will be traveling to different showrooms, many of which are not in the same buildings.

    • What should I bring with me? Camera and/or mobile phone with camera, lots of business cards, small notebook and a pen. You should have at least 1 copy of your state resale or sales tax license in order to open accounts to purchase. Many showrooms with provide you with a shopping bag or tote (free) and bottled water (also free).
       

    • What do I need in order to purchase wholesale?  YOU MUST BE REGISTERED FOR THE LAS VEGAS MARKET IN ORDER TO TAKE THIS CLASS! You should have a Reseller or Sales Tax License from your state tax board in order to place any orders. Here's additional info: Pre-register here

    • Who's Eligible? Members of the furnishings and design trade, including retailers, wholesalers, specifiers, import/export, rent-to-own stores, builders/developers, architects, decorators, stagers and interior designers.

    • What Do I Need?

      • Employer Identification Number (EIN) Certificate and/or State Sales & Use Tax Certificate. Retail Business License or ASID, IDS, IIDA or AIA membership card accepted in lieu of tax documents. (For EIN information call 800.829.4933 or go to www.irs.gov)

      • Copy of business card for each attendee

      • Copy of current driver’s license or State Identification Card for each attendee

    • Where should I stay? You can stay anywhere you like, but try to choose a hotel that has a FREE shuttle to the Las Vegas Market.  Hotel and meals are not included in the class (except for lunch on class day provided by one of our vendors). I will be staying at the Wynn or Encore. You can find a list of hotels on the shuttle route on the Las Vegas Market website.
